Wildlife Photography | Whitetail Winters
For me, sometimes winter wildlife photography is the kind that takes place from the warmth of my living room window with a cup of coffee by my side 🙂 I’m not going to pretend to tell you some elaborate story of how I snuck through the winter forest in snow-white camo, hand warmers, and a face mask in search of the wintering wildlife.
Nope, I’m not even ashamed to say I was in my pj’s, sipping on french vanilla coffee.
I think these deer are over winter as much as the next guy. They came out of the swamp to investigate the single oak leaf resting on top of the snow.Â
And while photographing from my living room window doesn’t itch the scratch I sometimes feel to go get lost in the big woods with my camera and pack, it does make me feel good to know I won’t accidentally put my truck in a snowy ditch from traversing icy road conditions. And it was hard work fighting the dogs off for some window viewing space 😉
