Wedding Photography | With Love, From The Lincklaen House (Cazenovia NY)
“Neglect the whole world rather than each other“
(A note from a guest to Catherine and Nicholas at their wedding)
Their story unassumingly began some years ago in the central NY city of Rochester when they both decided to attend the University. They met through a mutual friend, but were only vague acquaintances. After they finished their undergraduate careers, they both (unknowingly) moved to Boston to start the next phase of life, Nick had started grad school for computer engineering and Catherine had joined AmeriCorps to tutor Boston area high school students. They met again when another mutual friend introduced them. And then, their roads began to merge into one.
They tested their relationship in many ways, traveling much of the world together (Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, and Peru to name a few) and by moving into a 300 square foot apartment in Boston. Last June they were legally married by a Justice of the Peace on a rainy day in the Boston Public Garden, but knew they wanted to celebrate their love and relationship with their family. The Lincklaen House in Cazenovia was just the place.
The Lincklaen House is just a few short blocks from Lakeland Park, on Cazenovia Lake. We scooted on down there for a couple of minutes with Catherine and Nick to sneak a couple pictures of just the two of them. Catherine is such a champ, you can’t tell in the pictures but I think we were having 20mi an hour winds with temps in the low 60’s!
Back at the Lincklaen House, they prepared for their ceremony. Nick and Catherine wrote their own vows and had a friend officiate, intermixed with some sweet words shared from family and friends.
So cool, Nicholas and Catherine’s friends performed for their first dance song. Tim of Joyful Soul Entertainment was the DJ for the night and did a wonderful job keeping the group moving on the dance floor.
A very sweet love, a wonderful family and a beautiful sunset at the end of the day to cap it all off. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of it 🙂
