Wedding Photography | John and Maureen’s Fall Wedding at Arrowhead Lodge, Brewerton NY
Crime jokes were abundant.
That’s expected though because John and Maureen met at work, where they are both in the criminal justice field. I really like John and Mo, any other couple who had planned on marrying amongst the fall foliage and had a special ceremony guest based on an outdoor setting might have gone into LEVEL RED PANIC mode when it started down pouring and thundering.
But they just shrugged it off and smiled knowing the lodge’s stone fireplace would provide just as warm and charming setting to exchange their vows.
Mo and John, along with the Lodge’s manager, Brenda, did a wonderful job bringing the forest inside Arrowhead Lodge.
I love their wedding rings, they had their fingerprints etched on the inside of the bands. Click on the image to see the detail inside the bands.
They gave out little trees from Arbor Day to their guests for the favors. Such a cool idea.
Her mother walked her down the isle, so sweet.
When it came time for exchanging their rings, John and Mo decided to surprise their guests with a little wedding crasher. A Harris’s Hawk from Talons! Birds of Prey brought their rings to them.
The only reason I was bummed their ceremony was inside was because these pictures would have been epic if we’d been able to use the right lens outside, but I am still glad they got to surprise everyone and pull it off inside the lodge.
Look at the wingspan on this eagle owl!
I just love the colors in her flowers, so delicate and sweet, and the purple complements the fall colors so well.
This was the last wedding of the 2013 season for us, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one to end on. I love Mo and John’s sense of humor, I loved how laid back they were…and um, the birds!?! Come on! No better way for this photog to segue from wedding photography back into wildlife photography for the winter than by a wedding that combines both 🙂 I just thought it was neat that they included that kind of entertainment for their guests.
John and Mo, I wish you guys all the very best…and that you never miss a minute of 60 Minutes together 🙂
Always,
-K
