Wedding Photography | A Wild Love, Ryan and Alexandra Wed in Cazenovia NY
It was seven years ago that Ryan, a nervous high schooler, worked up the courage to ask Alexandra out. They have remained by each other’s side, as high school sweet hearts, ever since. Fittingly, they chose the same date that they began their relationship to solidify it as a marriage and exchange their vows. They couldn’t have picked a better fall day.
She dreams of Africa.
Alex has a love for all things Africa, so they planned their wedding to reflect that and their wild love for each other. And I should also mention, there was a Pug of Honor. A PUG OF HONOR!!! You know that sealed the deal for me just loving everything about Ryan and Alex 🙂
The girls got ready at The Lincklaen House in downtown Cazenovia. I seriously LOVE the detail in the band of her ring.
You can’t tell me Rambo sneaking a hug isn’t the sweetest thing you ever saw…
Meanwhile, boys will be boys…and, um, “get ready” for the wedding 😉
Ryan and Alex opted for a private first look before the ceremony and celebration so that they could sneak a few intimate moments with each other. They were so sweet.
Alex’s friend, Molly and her family, run farm in Cazenovia called Lamplit Farm. Their Belgium Draft horses were used to pull the carriage that Alex and the bridesmaids used to travel to the ceremony at Lakeside Park on Cazenovia Lake. The horses are sisters, just gorgeous, and were even outfitted with flowers in their hair. Hey, what girl doesn’t like to accessorize, amiright?
The boys, not to be out done, chose to make their entrance to the ceremony via a Jeep. It’s a Jeep thing.
Take a look at that cake and cupcakes…Alex’s mom made them! She did such an outstanding job decorating them. I’m thinking maybe a new business venture for her, huh? And Alex hand made the cake topper herself.
Alex said there was one, absolute MUST HAVE photograph that she wanted from her wedding and that was the image used in the posters for the movie Bridesmaids…I think the girls did a great job making that happen for her.
Believe me or not, but little Rambo started howling “I love you” at the end of the night 🙂
Ally and Ryan, it was such a pleasure and honor to bear witness to a wedding that was, according to the toasts given by your friends and family, a long time coming. After spending the day with you both I can see why. I hope that unstoppable, wild love remains an undercurrent in your marriage for many, many, many anniversaries to come. Also, I sure hope you guys make it to Africa one day (and send pics to me!).
Always,
-K
