The Little Things Are The Big Things | Jennette & Bryan Married At Mandana Barn, Skaneateles NY
“In the art of marriage, the little things are the big things” Wilferd A. Peterson
To say Byran and Jennette are two of the sweetest, kindest souls you’ll ever meet is an understatement. A giant understatement.
And their’s is the sweet, tender kind of love that finishes one another’s sentences. So I knew immediately when I first met them that I was going to really enjoy this part of the journey with them.
They first met at a party, back in the fall of 2005…the kind of story movies are made of.
There was an immediate connection felt by the both of them. A spark so incredibly strong, the next day both of them had told their families about meeting each other the night before. The catch- Jenn was already seeing someone.
And so it would remain just a moment tucked away in a special place for years to come.
Nine years to be exact.
That’s right, 9 years later Bryan found himself on Match.com and had stumbled upon this beautiful woman’s profile. And like any smitten young man, he sent a friendly “wink” and followed it up two days later with an email. A couple days after that, Jenn and Bryan went on their first date and had the sudden realization that they had actually met years ago on that fated night.
And the rest has quickly become the pages of their love story.
Bryan and Jenn both love the outdoors and their fondest memories to date are their adventures together camping and kayaking. They knew when they began planning their wedding that they wanted a venue that celebrated that outdoors spirit. When the big barn doors opened, they just knew Mandana Barn was the perfect venue to exchange their vows and dance the night away with friends and family.
Bryan and Jenn, you two will always hold a special place in my heart- from watching your eyes light up and sparkle as you told me your story of how you met, to the oh-so-very-sweet words of encouragement you sent me without even having seen your pictures yet. The Wilfred A. Peterson poem that was read by your sister during your ceremony was so fitting for you two- it certainly has been the little things that have cumulated into the BIG things on the pages of your love story. May the pages continue to build, the chapters chock full of love and happiness, and may your marriage and story be forever cherished, not only by each other, but by your future children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Much love to you both
