Love & Fairs | Chris & Trish’s New York State Fair Engagement Sesson
Yesterday was a lot of firsts for me.
We’ve lived here 8 years and for 8 years I have managed to avoid the one and only New York State Fair. This was my first time ever going and my first time photographing an engagement session there. And really, my first time photographing an engagement session in such a public, busy, setting. My normal style is in far more intimate settings and backdrops, but it was fun to be challenged in a new way and step outside my comfort zone.
Trish and Chris had never been to the fair either. So we started our time off wandering around and taking in the sites and smells. And really, I was enjoying watching them interact with each other as they meandered about the fair grounds.
This Suffolk sheep was SO.DARN.CUTE. Well okay, I admit I called it a goat, haha! Good thing my Minnesotan born and raised husband was along to educate me on farm animals 😉
No trip to the fair can be complete without fair food. For New York, it’s the funnel cake.
Perfect time to show off Chris’ impeccable taste and Trish’s gorgeous ring.
They make the fair look like a glamorous movie set that was built up just for them.
I really love the monochrome conversions on their photos, combined with her fashion style it reminds me of old New York.
I have no doubt that these two are embarking on a life full of fun and laughter together.
Chris & Trish, thank you for inviting us to join you and forcing me out of my cozy comfort zone 🙂
Always,
K
