Long Time Love | New York Fall Wedding
Connor and Rebecca.
I adore them. We met them back in early June when we photographed their engagement session and I first shared their story here. They have been long time loves, meeting each other in the first grade. Saturday was such an honor to be able to photograph their wedding day. The day they exchanged vows was met with gorgeous October weather, with warm light that danced through the glorious autumn colors adorning the hardwood trees.
The graphic designs on the invitation suite, menus, save-the-dates and all other paperie associated with their wedding were lovingly created by Rebecca’s aunt, Erin Bellomo. Her other aunt, Jamie Roninson, drew and created their guest book. What a talented family and a lucky bride.
Her bridal gown was incredible and created by Rembo Styling from Something Bleu Boutique.
Her engagement ring belonged to Connor’s mother. The wedding bands are from Lennon’s WB Wilcox Jewelers.
Martha, the bride’s adorable puppy.
They exchanged vows just blocks from where they grew up and still live today. Their ceremony was held at the New Hartford Presbyterian Church.
Grandpa and the mother of the bride, just mere seconds before Rebecca and her dad came down the aisle.
My sister assisted with this wedding and photographed this moment with Rebecca and her bridesmaids coming down the church steps after the ceremony. I just love it, Rebecca is beaming.
Connor and Rebecca chose the Sadaquada Golf Club for their reception. Combined with the perfect floral arrangements, archways, and centerpieces from The Clinton Florist, the venue and setting lend perfectly to the fall, warm backdrop for their wedding day.
I love when brides and grooms find ways to honor the memory of their loved ones during the wedding day. Connor carried a photo of his mother with him in his jacket pocket and Rebecca carried a photo of her grandmother, tied into her bouquet.
I mean, there was a pretzel bar…that’s how you know they are amazing people.
They danced their first dance to Randy Travis’ “Deeper Than The Holler“, which was performed by their band, The DeSantis Band.
No fall wedding would be complete without mini pies, apple cider donuts, and caramel apples from Twin Orchards historic apple orchard.
“He stepped down, trying not to look long at her, as if she were the sun. Yet he saw her, like the sun. Even without looking.” Leo Tolstoy
“My love is deeper than the holler.
Stronger than the river.
Higher than the pine trees growin’ tall upon the hill.
My love is purer than the snowflakes,
That fall in late December.
And honest as a Robin on a spring-time window sill.
And longer than the song of a whippoorwill.” Randy Travis
Connor and Rebecca,
Yours was the last wedding of the 2015 season for me and more than anything I am so happy it ended on such a beautiful note, with such a beautiful couple. Yours was the perfect wedding to end the year on. I can’t believe I was so lucky and fortunate enough to not only meet you both, tell your story, but also preserve your wedding memories for your family and future generations. I have no doubt that your love will continue on its journey of being a long time love and last forever beyond the end of your days. Many blessings to you both in life, love and your forever.

My wedding season wouldn’t have been as successful and smooth as it was this year if it weren’t for my equally talented sister and husband who worked along side of me. I owe them a huge thank you and so much gratitude for helping to make my small business as strong as it is. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
