Firefly Witchhazel

Winter is coming in a little too hot for my liking. It certainly doesn’t look like this outside my window right now, thanks to the 8 inches of fresh snow, disgustingly blanketing everything. The American Witchhazel trees were all that were left with any color in the canopy earlier this week. They *almost* looked like dainty little fireflies lighting up the forest.

I had intended on collecting some leaves and other autumn artifacts for my thanksgiving table decor, now I’m thinking I probably should have done that before yesterday. Fingers crossed the sun is ever in my favor the next couple days. And if we’re being honest, throughout the upcoming winter.
