A Family That Hunts Together.

After their family session, I was persuasive enough that they let me photograph them with their hunting gear. They had just returned from a uneventful morning duck hunt and would soon be going out for an afternoon bow hunt. I love that they hunt together, and I wanted this to be a part of their photo story too.

Much to everyone’s surprise, there was actually a pair of mallards sitting in the pond they had just returned from a couple hours earlier. One of the brothers had a beautiful wing shot on what became stew dinner shared around the kitchen table later that evening.

Guys, thank you for letting me share in that spontaneous, unexpected moment of grabbing yesterday’s dinner at the farm, hope you were also able to tag some venison after we left.
